হাসপাতালে জাতীয় পার্টির চেয়ারম্যান হুসেইন মুহম্মদ এরশাদের সঙ্গে বৈঠক করেছেন দলের প্রেসিডিয়াম সদস্য জিএম কাদের।
সকাল ১১টা থেকে বেলা একটা পর্যন্ত তারা হাসপাতালে একান্তে কথা বলেন বলে দলীয় সূত্র জানিয়েছে। তবে বৈঠকের বিষয়ে জিএম কাদের কোন কথা বলেননি। এরশাদকে বিদেশ পাঠিয়ে দেয়া হচ্ছে এমন আলোচনার মধ্যেই তার অনুজ দেখা করতে হাসপাতালে যান। ধারণা করা হচ্ছে, দলের পরবর্তী করণীয় নিয়ে এরশাদ জিএম কাদেরকে দিক নির্দেশনা দিয়েছেন। সূত্র জানিয়েছে, এরশাদ ও ছেলে এরিখসহ চারজনের পাসপোর্ট সংগ্রহ করেছে একটি গোয়েন্দা সংস্থা। যদিও এরশাদ দেশের বাইরে যেতে চাইছেন না বলে তার ঘনিষ্টজনরা বলছেন। সম্প্রতি এরশাদের উদ্বৃতি দিয়ে তার বক্তব্য প্রচার করায় তার বিশেষ উপদেষ্ঠা ববি হাজ্জাজকে দেশের বাইরে পাঠিয়ে দেয়া হয়েছে। ববি নিজের ফেসবুক স্ট্যটাসে জানিয়েছেন, তাকে জোর করে বিদেশে পাঠানো হয়েছে। এদিকে দলের মহাসচিব এবিএম রুহুল আমিন হাওলাদার এবং জিএম কাদেরের ওপর চাপ রয়েছে। এ কারণে তারা গা বাঁচিয়ে চলছেন। হাওলাদার প্রকাশ্যে খুব একটা আসছেন না। একই অবস্থা জিএম কাদেরেরও। গতকাল এরশাদের মুক্তির দাবিতে জিএম কাদেরের উপস্থিত থাকার কথা থাকলেও তিনি বাসা থেকে বের হতে পারেননি। তার আগে তার বাসার সামনে পুলিশ ও গোয়েন্দা সংস্থার সদস্যরা অবস্থান নেয়। দলের অপর নেতা কাজী ফিরোজ রশিদ দলের কেন্দ্রীয় কার্যালয়ের কর্মসূচিতে উপস্থিতি থাকলেও তিনি গণমাধ্যমে স্পষ্ট কোন বক্তব্য রাখেননি। এদিকে নির্বাচনে অংশ নেয়া নিয়ে ধূম্রজাল চললেও দলের সরকারপন্থি বলে পরিচিত নেতারা প্রকাশ্যে কোন কথা বলছেন না। তারা দলীয় কোন কর্মসূচিতেও অংশ নিচ্ছেন না। প্রেসিডিয়াম সদস্য রওশন এরশাদের অবস্থানও রহস্যে ঘেরা। অনেকে বলছেন চাপে পড়ে তিনি এমন কৌশল নিয়েছেন। আবার কেউ বলছেন, জাতীয় পার্টিকে নির্বাচনে রাখতে সরকারের পরিকল্পনা অনুযায়ি কাজ করছেন রওশন।
